Now it has brought its Planet OMEGA exhibition to Macau for the first time, exploring the brand’s past, present and future through projections, installations and over 40 iconic timepieces at The Promenade at Galaxy Macau. Projectedontolargeinstallations,thethemesoftheexhibition cover OMEGA’s Sporting Spirit, Metas and Certification, Ladies’ Watches, Going to Space, James Bond and Social Engagement. Each section contains a collection of OMEGA’s most notable timepieceswhile also detailing the stories behind them. From the famous Speedmaster chronograph that Buzz Aldrinwore to themoon in 1969 towatches celebratingOMEGA’s Olympic timekeeping tradition and others worn by James Bond, visitors will gain revealing insights into a truly iconic brand. A selection of new OMEGA models is also on display, including the Seamaster Aqua Terra 2017 “Golf” collection. These 41mm stainless steel watches are presented on military-grade NATO straps to keep the watch firmly on the wrist through the most powerful swings. The collection features horizontal “teak” pattern dials in sun-brushed black or silver, while on each watch face the 15, 30, 45 and 60 markers on the minute track match the color of the strap – either sporty green and black or orange and black. OMEGA’s detailed and fascinating display shows just how far the brand has come over the past 168 years and the passion that will take it into the future.
