Portofino – a famous fishing village located on the Italian Riviera – is renowned as a charming port and tourist town and, over the years, has become internationally synonymous with elegance, sportiness and understated luxury. The Ferrari Portofino fully captures these characteristics of the charming town while continuing to represent the pinnacle of Italian automotive excellence. Designed to provide a comfortable yet exhilarating driving experience, Ferrari’s latest creation is surprisingly light with the adoption of new components and what the company describes as cutting-edge production techniques. It also benefits from electric power steering to improve response, a third generation electronic differential which has been integrated with F1-Trac for better grip and the latest evolution of Ferrari’s electronic suspension control system. From a design perspective, the Ferrari Portofino shows off Ferrari’s typical aggressive styling including its two-box fastback configuration – unprecedented in a coupé- convertible with a retractable hard top – which adds extra sleekness to the silhouette. The result is sportier characteristics without impinging on the car’s elegance and dynamism. Step inside the Portofino and its exterior style gives way to comfort with features including a 10.25- inch touchscreen display, an air- conditioning system that can be used with the top up or down and 18-way electrically adjustable seats with a special backrest design that boosts legroom for rear seat passengers.
