One such enchanting brand of mezcal includes Los Danzantes Still Proof Maturado Vidrio, of which only 470 bottles are produced in Los Danzantes Palenque in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca. The spirit is matured (madurado) in large glass bottles (damajuanas) for four years, which helps combine and settle the molecules for a smoother product. Aside from its exclusivity, Los Danzantes Madurado is best known for its extremely smooth, rich and buttery texture. Traditionally, this variety of glass-matured mezcal was enjoyed for special occasions, such as welcoming a new baby into the family.
