Bordering Tibet and equidistant from India and Myanmar, the Three Parallel Rivers area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is said to be uncannily similar to the Bordelais climate, with an extra mountainous streak. Fewer hours of sunshine are mitigated by higher UV, whereas the dry season enables an exceptionally long ripening period of 140 days, as opposed to 120 days in Bordeaux. Having honed his skills in Bordeaux, Burgundy, Chile and South Africa, Winemaker and Estate Manager Maxence Dulou leads his team on the “roof of the world” practicing organic viticulture.
