HIGH LIFE #10 Jul 2017 29 毫 无疑问 Vhils 是业内首屈一指的街头艺术家，其独具一 格的艺术手法和艺术作品在世界范围内广受好评。这位 时年三十的葡国艺术家，自2008年在伦敦 Cans Festival 上 一鸣惊人之后，凭藉其充分展现当代生活与所身处城市之间相 互依存关系的独特视觉语言及独树一帜的风格，几乎是立刻便 受到国际瞩目和认可。 迄今为止，Vhils 的作品已经抵达全球三十多个国家的 八十六个地点，涵盖各种项目和内容。他独立于公共墙壁上创 作逾二百二十幅大型壁画肖像，作为其“划过表面”项目的系 列有机部分，以天地为被，以斧凿等器械为笔，展开艺术家自 身与城市的对话。这些作品之中还包括2016年 Vhils 受邀为 葡萄牙驻香港及澳门总领事馆专门创作、在葡澳两地皆有影 响的诗人庇山耶大型壁画肖像。 2016年，Vhils 于香港举办了首次个展《Debris》。经历 一年的研究以及探索之后，他将澳门选为这个系列巡回个展的 第二站。 T here is no doubt Alexandre Farto, widely known as Vhils, is recognized as one of the top urban artist in the world today. Acclaimed for his unique approach and artwork, the 30-year-old Portuguese artist burst onto the scene in 2008 at The Cans Festival in London and has since become internationally renowned for developing a unique visual poetry that exemplifies the interdependent relationship between contemporary life and its urban context. To date, Vhils has presented his work at 86 locations in over 30 countries around the world, spanning a variety of projects and contexts. He has created over 220 pieces in the scope of his pivotal Scratching the Surface project alone, in which Vhils uses his groundbreaking bas-relief carving technique to create large-scale compositions on public walls, including his first piece in Macau – a mural of the celebrated Portuguese poet Camilo Pessanha at the Consulate General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong created late last year.
