HIGH LIFE #11 Aug 2017 77 作 为其年度盛事之一，澳门爵士乐推广协会今年的初夏音 乐会邀请到 JeanMichel Pilc 及 Sylvain Luc 两位国际 知名的爵士乐大师联袂，为澳门带来一场独一无二的即兴音乐 演奏会。 身为名扬欧洲的吉他大师，Luc 总能极为精巧地将其对于 世界各地各种音乐的喜爱和理解，润物细无声地融入其灵活巧 妙的大师级爵士吉他指法之中。他的音乐里充满着新奇的念头 和美妙动人的旋律。秉承一代吉他大师莱恩哈特的传统，Luc 在他的音乐里为听众带来出人意料的幽默感和创造力，在合奏 之中将永恒的经典和迷人的原创巧妙地融合并演奏出来。 另外一位乐手 Pilc 则正如其许多同辈爵士乐手一样，是自 学成才的钢琴师，但对西方古典音乐传统和爵士钢琴史有着广 泛而深入的了解，曾被《纽约时报》描述为「一位富有创作力 的光芒四射的钢琴家」、「一位令人目眩神迷的演奏者和最能 掌握爵士即兴代理和旋的崮中翘楚」。他的双手既可瞬间筑起 华丽的巴洛克大厦，又可翻手用阵阵节奏戳中你的心房至深至 痛之处——甚至在同一个曲子之中。音乐是他恣意放纵自己才 华的草原。 O ne of its biggest annual events, the Macau Jazz Promotion Association (MJPA) hosted a unique improvised concert performed by internationally acclaimed jazz masters JeanMichel Pilc and Sylvain Luc, two of the most accomplished musicians of their generation. Luc, a giant of contemporary European jazz guitarist, is an extraordinary technician who combines a total command of the jazz guitar tradition with a deep love and understanding of music from around the world. Luc’s finger technique ismasterful; hismusical ideas fresh, accessible and richly melodic. Evoking Reinhardt’s deep legacy, Luc brings an incredible sense of fun and creativity to his music, finding and flexing the dynamics of the group’s repertoire which are a mixture of timeless classics and charming originals. Described as “a dazzlingly inventive pianist” and “a splashy stunner who also has a Rubik’scube mind for chord substitutions” by The New York Times , Pilc is a self taught pianist like many of his generation but with an extensive knowledgeofWesternclassical traditionand jazzpianohistory. He can erect towering twohanded Baroque architecture, knock you down with rhythmic force or break your heart with harmony like Bill Evans, sometimes within the same piece. He has the chops to execute his wildest impulses.
