The more he investigated, the more he found that this crop, slowly becoming obsolete, was actually one of Taiwan’s national treasures that deserved to be brought back into the modernworld. To support the industry, Cha Tzu Tang began to collaborate with tea seed gardens and purchased tea seeds at a high price to help farmersmanage the bitter tea trees that were growing increasingly scarce. The farmers became hopeful that this beautiful cultural asset could be preserved and even flourishwith time. Starting from 2013, the brand expanded its passion for tea seed culture to the promotion of local arts and crafts, paving the way for the discovery of many hidden artistic talents in Taiwan as Cha Tzu Tang’s products receive local or even international recognition. As a result, people can experience Taiwan’s vibrant and rich cultural and artistic energy that, just like a tea seed, is small but charming and contains within it hidden meanings and feelingswaiting to be uncovered.
