Upon entering the studio, located in Central, youwill immediately notice the legendary art portraits of Asian celebrities such as Fan Bing Bing and Huang Xiao Ming hanging on the wall. The cozy space houses a glamorous make-up and dressing room with the studio next door separated by an elegant sliding door. “The studio in Paris is indeed a lot more spacious but the atmosphere here is more intimate. Sometimes we host cocktail parties and it is a great place to mingle. Hongkongers love art and culture and we are glad to be a part of this city,” Gaël says. Sunlight does not have control of itself. It is nature that controls it. In the studio, it is the artist who has the command and power to determine – according to his will, his culture and his taste – his aesthetic ideas of light.
