High Life Issue #4
品 36 #4 2017 年 1 月 “See? We think it is so cool, but if you just write it downyouwill see howempty it is … it is nothing. At the same time, no one is taking the time to learn classical music again, it is too hard and it takes too long.” Aswe look at a giant pink Rasputinwith glittering eyes, Konstantin says, “All my art is composed of layers. The more you know, the more you will see.” And it’s true. All of the art showcased is, even to the least trained eye, filledwithhistorical, literaryand political references. There’s Umberto Eco, Visconti, St Thomas of Aquino, Anarchism and The Spanish Civil War just to name a few. Next to Rasputin we have Queen Victoria with make-up and “Girls rule” written on her in graffiti. “This is how a great, powerful woman would be portrayed nowadays,” he continues.
