Yet, for one particular group of guests, the day will surely linger longer than most. Members of race sponsor China Horse Club – a business lifestyle group with connections from Asia and Australia to the Middle East, UK and US – were granted special access to the Parade Ring for the race and stood just metres from the winning post as Winx roared to victory. “I think seeing a super horse win, it’s incredible,” says China Horse Club’s founder and Chairman, self-made billionaire Teo Ah Khing, who graciously invited High Life to join him for this historic Golden Slipper race day at Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens. “We do have our own horses and we have our moments but it’s a one in a million chance to see a horse like Winx. “Winx represents the aspirations of human beings. We aspire to go the moon and the stars. For the horse owner it is one of those dreams to hang on to, to relate to the animal and when they deliver experiences like Winx has done, those are experiences that money cannot buy. Our members have told me again and again that they have really loved it.”
