Louis Vuitton’s newest collection Les Parfums is the ultimate proof that choosing a perfume is just as important as choosing the right outfit. No sense can better feed the imagination than scent. The fragrance a woman leaves behind is often more alluring than her presence. Poems and books have been written on the subject and there’s little doubt that the “third sense” is the closest to the mythical sixth. Louis Vuitton describes its perfumes as, “a journey that begins on bare skin” – an homage to the quasi-esoteric nature of scent. One does not describe an aroma, one feels it – aspires to it – like a beautiful melody or a strong ideal. Crafted by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the collection comprises seven unique and rich perfumes that come in elegant and simple glass bottles – from the airiness of Rose des Vents to the intoxicating Turbulences; from the ecstasy of a first night with Dans la Peau to the mindful immersion in nature with Apogée; from the self-revealing Contre Moi to an exploration of a darker side with Matière Noire and finally the explosion of the senses with Mille Feux.
