品 30 #8 2017 年 5 月 HIGH LIFE #8 May 2017 31 马 仕华医生（Shee Vá）首先是一位人文主义者。他的兴 趣涵盖了与人性有关的一切，从生物学和音乐，到写作 和美食。尽管职业是医生，但他的日常生活远远超出了医药的 范畴。 他称，“我的教授曾经说过，如果一个人只懂医药，那他 根本什么也不懂。” 我们相约在澳门陆军俱乐部的私人休息区见面。马仕华医 生早早到达，尽管外面天气恶劣，但他身穿花呢上衣，衣着一 丝不苟。他一口流利的葡萄牙语以及独特的名字拼写引起了我 的兴趣。于是他开始解释，笑容中可以看出，这个故事他已经 讲述了无数遍。 “我出生在莫桑比克，1975年莫桑比克宣告独立时，我去 了葡萄牙。读书期间都以葡萄牙语授课，但我在家里学中文。 我的父母来自广州，因此我是说粤语长大的。” 至于他与澳门的关联，马仕华医生继而讲道，“我拿到学 位后，必须实习一年，才能专门研究胃肠病学。当时我有机会 来澳门，于是就来了。虽然只有短短一年，但那段经历一直铭 记于心。20年后，也就是2012年，机会再次出现，就有了今 天。” 马仕华医生举手投足间都散发着魅力。从手势可以看出， 他很习惯于别人的倾听。他向我简要介绍了他写的两本书以及 对于寻根问祖的渴望。 他称，“随着年龄的增长，我感受到与中国更深的血缘关 联，来澳门可以更多地了解自己的文化背景。”马仕华医生亦 是一名音乐发烧友，私人时间里，还会在官乐怡基金会举办有 关歌剧的研讨会。 D r Shee Vá is above all a humanist. He is a man of the world whose interests encompass all that is human in nature, from biology and music to writing and gastronomy. A doctor by trade, Shee Vá goes well beyond medicine in his day-to-day life. “A professor of mine used to say that if one only knows of medicine, one knows nothing at all, not even that,” he says. We are at the Military Club in Macau, sitting down in the club’s private resting area. Dr Shee Vá arrives early, impeccably dressed in a tweed jacket despite the unforgiving weather outside. I note his perfect Portuguese and the unique spelling of his name. He proceeds to explain, with the smile of one who is tired of retelling the same story. “I was born in Mozambique and left the country for Portugal when independence came in 1975. My entire education has been in Portuguese but I learned Chinese at home. My parents were from Canton and that is why I spoke Cantonese growing up,” he explains. As for his connection to Macau, Dr Shee Vá continues, “After my degree, I had to intern for a year before I could specialize in Gastroenterology, I had the chance of coming to Macau and did so. I was here only a year, but the experience stayed with me. Fast forward 20 years and an opportunity presented itself again in 2012 and here we are.” Dr Shee Vá is a charismatic soul. His gestures suggest he is used to others listening. He tells me briefly about the two books he has written and his quest to discover his roots.
