She smiles at us and joins the conversation. “I’ve been coming to Riquexó for well over 30 years. Everyday at lunchtime I am here,” she says. “Today I came for dinner because I had to stay in Taipa in the afternoon.” The friend, a well dressed lady with beautiful, strong grey hair smiles. She had just finished a grilled steak but did not knowwhich dish was her favorite. “I really love them all. I simply cannot choose,” she laughs. Aida tells us she can’t pick a favorite either, although she loves to dine outside, especially for Dim Sum. “You know, we are much more than a restaurant, we are like a family,” Aida’s daughter says. I look around and see the tables surrounding us. And she is right. What I see is a great, happy family doing what families do best – eating a delicious meal together.
