品 94 #8 2017 年 5 月 HIGH LIFE #8 May 2017 95 An outstanding student who completed her undergraduate studies a full year ahead of schedule, ChenYanle performed as the principal violinist at the Hong Kong Handover Ceremony concert. “I was in my second year of undergraduate studies”, she recalled. “I felttrulyhonouredtohavebeengiventheopportunity. Back then, although I was not particularly familiar with Hong Kong, it was clearly a very special historic moment and it was an absolute privilege to be part of it.” Ever since its inception, Macao Orchestra has performed abroad in such countries as Japan, SouthKorea, Austria, Hungary, Portugal, Switzerland and the US. As Chen Yanle highlighted, “Macao Orchestra is the first in the world to have performed in each and every province, municipality, autonomous region and special administrative region of China, plus Taiwan.” Performing so often and in such contrasting destinations has, of course, presented its challenges and there have been some comically unexpected moments. During a performance in Lhasa, the capital ofTibet rising 3,600meters above sea level, ChenYanle recalled, “Theairwassothinthatourbrassandwoodwindsections suffered badly. Some foreign musicians even fainted, I mean literally! Mr Lü Jia, our Music Director and Principal Conductor, had to use an oxygenmask to recharge during intervals! “Evenforthestrings section, itwasphysicallyexhausting. Thankfully, the management team was empathetic so we performed lighter compositions, rather than full-on ones such as Anton Bruckner’s symphonies, which would have been impossible.” 她回忆道，“那一年，我还是本科二年级学生。获得这极 为难得的机会，我深感荣耀。当时，尽管我对香港了解不深， 却深深感受到这一历史时刻的意义。有机会参与其中，是莫大 的荣幸。” 澳门乐团成立后，多年来曾在日本、南韩、奥地利、匈 牙利、葡萄牙、瑞士和美国等地进行海外演出。陈琰乐指出 说，“此外，澳门乐团是首个在中国各省份、直辖市、自治区 和特别行政区演出的交响乐团，亦曾在台湾演出。” 澳门乐团天南地北在各地演出，期间遇到的挑战乃至趣事 应该不少吧？澳门乐团曾到访西藏首府拉萨，其海拔达3,600 米之高。陈琰乐忆述说，“拉萨的气压极低，令我们铜管和木 管声部的乐师们吃了不少苦头。某几位外籍乐师甚至要晕倒 了！澳门乐团的音乐总监兼首席指挥吕嘉先生，在音乐会中场 休息时，不得不用面罩补充氧气！ “弦乐声部的乐师们，演出时亦非常辛苦。幸好，管理团 队理解我们的苦处，我们就演奏较为轻盈的曲目。在这样的状 态下，演奏安东布鲁克纳交响乐一类的大型曲目，几乎是不可 能的。” 对陈琰乐而言，出色的指挥，是乐团成功与否的关键因素 之一。
