As Chen Yanle revealed, Macao Orchestra consequently have to practise, rehearse and performat a variety of venues. “In terms of what we have at present, Dom Pedro V Theatre is not bad for chamber music, whereas Macao Cultural Centre’s Grand Auditorium just about does its job for orchestral compositions. Still, our dream is to have a purpose-built concert hall,” she smiles. Looking towards the future, ChenYanle is upbeat about the continued international development of the Macao Orchestra and hopes the door will open for more Macanese musicians to join, as Macao Orchestra has over the years dedicated much effort to music education and propagation. “We ought to let Macanese people see that there is a future as amusician inMacau,” she said. An accomplished violinist herself, Chen Yanle regards comprehensive education and rigorous training as prerequisites, but a true heart – a passion – formusic is equallyvital. 她解释说,“指挥是乐团的灵魂,须具备冷静、客观、严 谨和果断等特质。指挥须拥有清晰的思维,引领乐团走向正确 的方向。” 澳门虽然拥有一系列现代场地和历史建筑,却还没有具备 完美声响效果的专用音乐厅。对古典音乐演奏场地而言,声响 效果无疑是最重要的考量因素。陈琰乐透露说,由于缺乏专用 音乐厅,澳门乐团要进行练习、排练及表演,只能在多个不固 定的地点进行。 她笑言,“就目前的情况而言,岗顶剧院作为室内乐演 奏场地,是不错的;澳门文化中心综合剧院作为交响乐演奏场 地,勉强还是可以的。然而,拥有一所专用音乐厅,依然是我 们的梦想!” 展望未来,陈琰乐对澳门乐团继续与国际接轨并持续发 展,还是满怀信心的。她亦期望,未来将会有更多澳门本地乐 师加入澳门乐团。多年来,澳门乐团在音乐教育和普及方面下 了很多功夫。 她说,“我们要让澳门人看到,在澳门成为乐师是有出路 的。” 身为出色的小提琴乐师,陈琰乐认为全面的教育和严格的 训练,是乐师成功与否的关键。此外,一颗忠于音乐的心以及 对音乐的激情,同样重要。
